I spent a long weekend in February of 2020 in the famed scenic town of Sedona, Arizona. Long known for its breathtaking red rock formations, since the ‘80s the town has also be said to be home to several ‘vortexes’ of energy - leading to various tours and activities allowing you ‘harvest’ such energy and become one with nature, if you will. All for the price of a few hundred bucks - wand making materials, sage burning, and ritual chanting included.

I personally came for the views, and they did not disappoint.

What to See & Do:

  1. hikes in the area: Airport Loop & Cathedral rock

  2. jeep tours & off-roading

  3. wine tasting in verde valley

  4. chapel of the holy cross

  5. Mostly: lounging around & taking in the views

if you happen to be flying into phoenix…

Two gems not to be missed include catching a sunset on the rock (you’ll know it when you see it) in Papago Rock near the airport, and finding a join to chow down on a classic Sonoran hotdog. Oh and naturally, stopping by an In-N-Out if you’re in that camp.
